Is there a fee for a bridal consultation?

We charge a booking fee of £45 for your first bridal consultation at our London bridal store, and £20 for your first bridal consultation at our Somerset store.

Our team is passionate and dedicated to turning your dress dreams into a reality and will gladly reschedule your appointment with up to 72 hours’ notice. If you wish to cancel your appointment at any point to reschedule with less than 72 hours’ notice, your booking fee will be used as an administration charge.

What price do your wedding gowns start from?

One of our most common Bridal FAQ’s is how much a Sassi Holford gown costs. Of course, this can vary from a few thousand to upwards of £15,000. We aim to work with you to create the dress of your dreams within your budget.

Sassi Holford gowns start from £2,800.

At our flagship stores, every gown is made-to-order using the measurements taken at your appointment. One of our expert seamstresses can tailor the gown to fit should you choose one of our alterations packages. If you would like to make custom changes to an existing design, prices start from £4,000 and a completely bespoke design starts from £5,500 – £15,000+.
Our alterations packages and fittings typically commence 10-12 weeks before your wedding date.

You are welcome to arrange alterations at a seamstress of your choice following a collection fitting.

What happens if you don’t have an appointment on the day I would like to book?

We recommend calling, or emailing, the store to be added to their cancellation list for your chosen day. If an appointment becomes free, a team member will contact you to offer you the appointment.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

If you would like to arrange a virtual appointment, please contact one of our two bridal stores directly.

Can I buy a wedding dress online?

Every Sassi Holford wedding dress is made-to-order therefore it is not possible to order online. However, you can order a dress directly from our London or Taunton bridal store, made to your chosen size and shipped to you directly. If you would like to arrange a virtual appointment, please contact one of our two bridal stores directly.

What size are your samples?

In our London and Somerset stores, our samples range from a size 10 to a size 20. We do not have every style in every size but if there is a particular gown you are interested in, please make sure to add it to your appointment notes when you book. Please be aware bridal sizing can be 1-2 sizes smaller than the high street due to the fitted nature of the garment.

If you are visiting one of our Sassi Holford stockists, we recommend contacting them directly to find out what sample sizes they have.

Can I bring friends and family to my appointments?

We welcome our brides to bring up to three guests with them to their appointment. If you wish to bring more than three, please contact the store beforehand as only certain times will be available. All our stores have street level access, if you have any accessibility requirements, please contact the store.

What do I need to bring/wear for my first appointment?

We suggest wearing underwear you feel comfortable in as your stylist will be assisting you inside the fitting room. FYI smooth skin-coloured underwear works best, but this is not necessary at this stage.

What happens at my first appointment?

Every Sassi Holford appointment starts with you! cWe will have an informal chat to get to know your style and your initial thoughts for your wedding day. If you have a vision board or Pinterest board, please feel free to share it with us. Our aim is to make you feel your most confident, beautiful and reflect your personality. We will then select 4-6 dresses to start the journey of finding your perfect wedding dress.

What is your size range?

As every Sassi Holford gown is made-to-order based on measurements taken at your appointment, there is no size range.

What happens after my first appointment?

At the end of your first appointment, you are welcome to book a revisit consultation to try on your favourite gowns. If you didn’t book a revisit at your first consultation, feel free to contact us to book one in.

When is the latest I can order?

All our wedding dresses are created individually at our atelier therefore lead times can vary. We recommend ordering your wedding gown no later than 6-8 months before your wedding date and for a fully bespoke gown 10 months.

How many fittings will I need?

We expect you to have 2-3 fittings if you choose our alterations package. This may increase if there is a change in size. If you have a bespoke gown, there will be 3 – 4 fittings often including a toile fitting.

What is the process for a bespoke gown?

If you want to pursue a completely bespoke gown, after trying existing silhouettes, we will sketch an initial design, discuss fabrics and details. If required, we will book you in for a second appointment where you will work with our senior stylists or Sassi herself to bring the sketch to life and the design process will begin.

Do you hold sample sales?

We hold 1 – 2 sample sales per year at our London and Somerset bridal stores. If you would like to be the first to hear about our sample sales, make sure to follow us on Instagram and subscribe to our newsletter.
