Lara and David’s dreams of a winter wedding day was made complete with the unexpected arrival of snow on the only snow day of 2023. The couple took every opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather, and even sledged in their dress and kilt! The day set amidst venues steeped in familial history and sentimentality with their ceremony held at Newlands Church where the groom’s father was a minister, and their reception at Ralph and Finns in Glasgow, where the bride’s family own the restaurant. The day was truly magical from start to finish.

Describe the style of your wedding
Our wedding day style was all about having fun and letting loose in a laid-back atmosphere. Choosing the right band was so crucial to us as we wanted our guests to be up on the dance floor all night, and they were!
What made you choose the Stephanie gown?
I chose Stephanie after seeing it paired with the matching Stephanie jacket on Anne Priscilla’s Instagram. I went to the shop to try on that exact combination. It was the first dress I tried on and I instantly fell in love with the way it made me feel.
I paired it with dried flower hoop earrings and an amazing matching headband.
How was your dress shopping experience?
It was brilliant, I absolutely loved it. The team at Anne Priscilla were brilliant and as I was pretty set on the Stephanie dress and jacket from the moment I walked in, my appointment was pure joy!
If you could relive one part of your wedding day, what would it be?
The dance floor was an absolute highlight of our wedding day! It was like stepping into a world of pure joy and celebration, surrounded by the people we love most. Seeing our friends and family laughing, dancing, and enjoying themselves was truly magical. The band did an exceptional job!
