How did you first hear about Sassi Holford?
I modelled for Sassi back in around 2014 and fell in love with her styles and cuts.

What made you decide on the Florence gown?
I first saw Florence on Sassi Holford’s Instagram and instantly fell in love. So I called the store and asked for it. I wasn’t even thinking about trying it on as I knew it was the one. I might have even paid for it over the phone there and then! I love everything about the gown – the wrap style, the shoulders, the neckline, the leg split and the added couture style sash for a little bit of extra waist synching and drama. I also purchased the lace overlay dress that I used as a robe to get ready in the morning.

The best compliment you received about your wedding look?
I remember walking into the ceremony and seeing my friends’ faces saying “wow”; I was so taken aback and flattered by this. Everyone loved the dress; one friend said she felt like she was speaking to royalty!

What was the main inspiration behind your wedding?
I wanted a classic English wedding that also had an undone vibe. I was going for “perfectly imperfect.” I’m not too fond of things being too regimented. I just wanted everyone to have a good time and roll with the day. I didn’t even care about the weather! A big party with lots of food was the main thing.

As the date was in March, I went for a neutral colour palette with a lot of green spring foliage scattered around, a muted blush colour palette with quicksand, cream and cappuccino roses combined with taupe candles. I wanted simple, undone and elegant.

What was your favourite moment from the day?
There were so many! I loved the breakfast I had with friends, getting ready with them, walking with my lovely dad to the orangery ceremony, seeing all my friends and feeling so much love from everyone. Joe and I were buzzing from the vibes of our friends and family for days after!
