A balance of traditional but modern was the theme for Lyndsey and Alistair’s day that was lit by the first sunny day of the year in Moffat, Scotland. A small bridal party with only family and close friends kept the day intimate while the party really started when the couple were joined by the full guest list for the reception. Lyndsey’s bespoke dress with extra long train suited the grandeur of Auchen Castle perfectly.

What was your wedding day non-negotiable?
My photographer! I had followed Vicky from Willow & Wilde Co for sometime before we got engaged and just loved how she captures the moment. We didn’t want formal staged photos and she has the most amazing way snapping away without you even knowing, making you so at ease allowing her to get the most special moments from the day.
How did the process of your bespoke wedding dress happen?
I came across Sassi Holford at Anne Priscilla in Glasgow. I wanted to be traditional but modern with something a little different and my consultant, Karen, really understood my vision. We tried the Sassi Holford Bronte and I loved the way the neckline flattered the collar bone, the band pulling in the waist and the lovely soft material allowing for such a comfortable luxurious feeling. It was an easy yes!
The only thing that was missing for me, was a longer train. Karen explained how Sassi can customise her designs and after a chat to Sassi, my dress dreams went into production! At my final fitting I met Sassi in Glasgow and she was able to see the gown in its full glory and sketched a picture of my dress which was a special touch.
Why did you want to be a Sassi Holford bride?
The bespoke option is what made my dress extra special for me. Knowing that there is only one of my dress is something that I am very lucky to be able to say and that every bride wishes & dreams for when looking for the one!
If you could live one part of your wedding day again, what would it be?
Impossible to pick! The day was simply perfect and everything we hoped it could ever be & more.
