On their 10 year anniversary, Megan and Richard wed at Old Marylebone Town Hall which gave them the intimate and relaxed wedding day they envisioned. Bronte was the perfect gown for chic bride Megan. The couple spoke about a wedding in Italy, but their reception at the Italian Greyhound and a cloudless, bright blue sky in the centre of London gave them the Italian weather they dreamed of.

Did you have any wedding day non-negotiables?
It was really important to us both that our wedding day felt like ‘us’, that the room was filled with so much love, that drinks were flowing and that dinner was beyond delicious! I think we’d both agree that finding the perfect photographer was also a high priority. We’re not the most comfortable in front of the camera and so we didn’t want the photography to feel too posed or for it to feel too obvious to our guests, particularly being a small wedding – our photographer Sammy was absolutely incredible and we wish we could be friends forever!
How did you find wedding dress shopping?
I absolutely loved every second of it, although I didn’t do too much! I’ve always imagined that my dress would have long sleeves and would be relatively flowy. I had a couple of appointments booked at some bridal shops in London, but the week before I saw a model on Instagram wearing Bronte. I could only see the top of the sleeves on the video but instantly knew I was in love. I visited TDR Bridal, a Sassi Holford stockist, just two days later and tried Bronte on and felt like I wanted everyone in the world to see me. I still went to London and tried on the dresses I thought I wanted, but I couldn’t stop thinking about Bronte. My sister and I did a last minute visit to Sassi’s store in London that same day and the decision was made! I had the most beautiful experience and I’m so thankful to everyone involved.
What made you pick a Sassi Holford dress?
Everything about my dress felt so special, and the quality really stood out to me. I was initially in love with the shape of Bronte, the detail of the sleeves and the back of the dress was stunning. The waistband gave me a shape that no other dress was giving – it was so flattering and so comfortable to wear.
If you could live one part of your wedding day again, what would it be?
We both had such a moment walking out and down the steps at the Old Marylebone Town Hall! Seeing all of those happy faces and a cloud of confetti, holding my new husbands hand – I could have burst! I hope I remember the feeling I had in that moment forever. And, because I just can’t choose only one thing, looking out around the room during dinner and seeing all of our friends and family together, enjoying each others company and feeling the buzz of the day, I wish I could be there again and again. During our whole ten years together we’ve always said ‘imagine on our wedding day having literally everyone we love in one room, all of our worlds coming together!’ and seeing it in reality was the most beautiful thing.
