Sarah and Chip married in an intimate ceremony in front of family in September 2020. Whilst COVID may have paused their original date, Sarah and Chip navigated their way to a day full of love and laughter all under socially distant guidelines four months later.

Sarah looked beautiful in her bespoke  Adele gown from the wonderful Ladies of Lineage and a Sarah veil with a Camilla trim from The Couture Veil.

How did you adapt your wedding to COVID-19? How did you find the process? Our wedding was originally scheduled for 2 May 2020. When the guidelines were adjusted we knew we had to postpone. We pushed out our date to September but chose to still honor our original date and were legally married by our pastor on 2 May. Unfortunately, COVID is still very much a reality so our postponed reception and ceremony had to shift again. We limited our ceremony to only immediate family and moved our reception to our backyard and asked our guests to come during set time slots to ensure there was space to socially distance and comply with gathering sizes. We had the absolute best time with our favorite food truck, a photo booth, and an amazing bar!

What made you choose a Sassi Holford gown? I tried on several styles and loved bits of two gowns. The girls at Ladies of Lineage helped me make adjustments to the Adele like creating a V in the front and back that really flattered my figure. I’m a petite person and wanted to feel like I wore the dress, not that the dress was wearing me. The adjustments and overall simplicity made it absolutely perfect for my style and body type.

What was the main inspiration behind your wedding? We changed plans multiple times throughout the year but stayed rooted in one core theme — Joy. Our priority was to have a joyful day with friends and family celebrating our marriage. Things did not go as originally planned but to me they were still absolutely perfect!

What was your favourite moment from the day? It may sound cliché but my favorite part of the day was our First Look. It was a special time for just the two of us with no one else around to take a deep breath, laugh a lot while taking photos, and remember the day was really about our marriage and lives together.
