Sophie and George married in the picturesque Herefordshire at Sophie’s childhood home. After a year of lockdown and postponements, Sophie and George enjoyed their wedding day filled with love surrounded by friends and family.
Sophie looked incredible wearing Iris which was handpicked by our London store manager, Sanda, and turned out to be Sophie’s dream gown. It has been wonderful to finally start receiving bride photos especially those wearing our latest collection, Asteria.

What made you choose a Sassi Holford gown?
I chose Sassi Holford originally because a lot of my family come from Taunton, so we’ve known about Sassi for a long time. We’ve always loved that every dress was made there by her Taunton seamstresses. It also meant that I could create my perfect dress in a shorter period of time, unlike many other brands, which was key because we didn’t have a long engagement.
What was the main inspiration behind your wedding?
The main inspiration behind our wedding was a small, relaxed intimate day based where I grew up in Herefordshire in my parents garden. We chose Yurts instead of a marquee to keep it different, and we did many of the flowers ourselves which took days but added to our story.
What was your favourite moment from the day?
My favourite moment of the day was being on the dance floor with all of my family and closest friends dancing to our favourite songs. After so much lockdown, everyone was extremely keen to let their hair down and it ended up being a huge party until the early hours. Honestly one of the best days of my life.
