On a warm, but not too hot, day on the Gold Coast of Australia, Lauren, said I do outside, under a gorgeous pavilion in the Charlotte gown, overlooking the rainforest. A day filled with love and laughter, the couple wanted a rustic theme throughout their day and opted for street style food, rather than a traditional sit down meal, meaning their guests could sample a variety of different cuisines.

How did you find wedding dress shopping?
The wedding dress shopping experience was exhausting, but good fun and really got everyone even more excited for the big day! I had seen the Charlotte dress on Instagram not long after getting engaged and immediately fell in love with it. It set the basis for what I was looking for in a dress – simple yet elegant. Lots of people told me that I would end up buying a dress that was completely different to what I imagined for myself, but I knew that wasn’t going to be the case as my heart was set on the Charlotte.
I searched Sassi Holford stockists online and found that there is one boutique, Bluebell Bridal, in Australia that stocks the designer. However, unfortunately they did not have Charlotte in stock and I was not willing to take the risk of ordering it in without first trying it on.
How did you become a Sassi Holford bride?
The only Australian Sassi Holford stockist was in Melbourne, which is a 2 hour flight from where I live in the Gold Coast. I am originally from Melbourne and was heading back there for an event, so I booked in a day to go dress shopping with my bridesmaids, who live in Melbourne. The store had ordered Charlotte in for me to try and as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one – it was perfect! The panelled bodice, the square neckline, the A-line skirt, the simplicity, the elegance… it was exactly what I wanted! Thank you Sassi for designing my dream wedding dress, I felt so beautiful in it!
If you could live one part of your wedding day again, what would it be?
I could relive one part of the wedding day, it was definitely be the ceremony. While this was the most nerve-racking part, it was still my favourite part of the day. I loved listening to our story, hearing Luke’s gorgeous vows, seeing him tear up as I read mine, and sharing such a special moment with all of our loved ones.
