Wow, 30 years! Sassi’s very first store opened in Taunton, Somerset, three wonderful decades ago. Over the years, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching Sassi’s designs light up the faces of brides-to-be, from the first sketch to the final dance on your wedding day as a married couple, Sassi Holford gowns have truly been part of life’s most magical moments.
While Sassi’s creative genius speaks for itself, we couldn’t let this achievement pass without giving a huge shoutout to our dream team here in Somerset — Kristine, our incredible Store Manager, Lucy, our wonderful Style Consultant and, Emily, our magical alterations expert, Sassi Holford Somerset wouldn’t be what it is, without you.
Reflecting on these past 30 years, we’re filled with pride — not only for the dresses that have left our doors but for the moments we’ve been part of. Weddings aren’t just about the big day; they’re about the journey leading up to it. The laughter, the nerves, the fittings where family and friends tear up, and that final moment when a bride looks at herself in the mirror and knows this is the dress. That’s the magic we live for.
To celebrate this huge highlight in Sassi’s career, we held a soirée for friends of our store. So a special thank you to LAP Food for the delicious canapés and Eclipse for the catering equipment, Charlie Jenkins for capturing the moment perfectly, Georgina from Ooh I Like That Design for the glorious window painting, and Nicky’s Flower Studio for the beautiful bouquet of flowers.
As we raise a glass to this amazing milestone, we look forward to the future with excitement. Here’s to more gorgeous gowns, more unforgettable moments, and, of course, to continuing to make dreams come true with Sassi Holford Somerset at the heart.
