Sassi Holford Natasha Wedding Dress

1. Sparkle

Striking the right balance with the amount of sparkle may seem like a thin line for some, while others throw caution to the wind and claim you can never have enough. At Sassi Holford, we tend to reside in the first camp, but we fully acknowledge just how charming and enchanting the right amount of sparkle can be.

If you don’t believe in magic wait until you’ve seen the Natasha (pictured) in our 2021 collection. Looking as though it’s waltzed off the pages of a fairytale, this dress never fails to capture the attention of an entire room. As you twirl and dance on your wedding day, your guests are sure to be mesmerised by the glittering skirt and flawless fit. Want to be the first to know when our 2021 collection is live? Thea Wedding Dress | Statement Sleeves

2. Statement Sleeves

If like us, you swooned over Zoey Deutch’s bold look for the 2020 Golden Globes you also probably spotted her witty Instagram post about her sleeves. Her vibrant jumpsuit by Fendi was just the introduction to a year that promises quirky and extravagant sleeves, a welcome fashion come-back. Voluminous 80s sleeves are having a revival, and if styled correctly, they can lead to a memorable outfit of perfect proportions. For brides looking to embrace this trend, we recommend keeping the skirt of the gown simple and look for a silhouette that is well fitted around the bodice so that your waist is clearly defined. But above all, this trend is about being playful and is not for those shy of drama!

Blush Wedding Dress

3. Blushing Brides

Profoundly romantic and effortlessly pretty, blush dresses are rivalling conventional colours of ivory and white. Embracing this delicate shade of pink on your wedding day challenges tradition in a subtle and sweet way. Additionally, it’s undeniably feminine and hopelessly romantic, which you can elevate further by choosing a dress with whimsical details like tiers or appliqué. Look for a floor-sweeping design for an extravagant love affair or a frothy tiered wedding dress for a flirtatious courtship.

4. Coat Dresses

Would you dare to wear outerwear as aisle-wear on your wedding day? The face of our 2020 campaign, and real Sassi Holford bride, Laura Coleman wore a beautiful silk taffeta jacket gown, with long sleeves and a full skirt for her 2019 wedding. She may have been ahead of the times, but luckily this elegant yet sculpted trend is here to stay. The covered-up silhouette and romantic layering are two features of a coat dress that lend themselves to creating the chicest bridal gown; and a style that few would expect.

5. Everything's Up For Reinvention

As much as it’s fun to keep up with the trends, they aren’t the rulebook. In Sassi’s own words ‘everything is up for reinvention’ especially when it comes to what you wear on your wedding day. Put your personal style first and take note of what makes you feel your best. Equally, never be afraid to go against the grain and put your own spin on your bridal look. Edge your outfit up with a leather jacket, choose to wear colour, go minimal or go all out, but whatever you decide, do it your way.
